Nissan Service

How to save money on your next Nissan service

Nissan servicing is now much cheaper for those in the know.

Thanks to European legislation you no longer have to be tied to high Nissan service costs dictated by your local dealer.

In October 2003 new European legislation affecting the motor industry came into force called Block Exemption Regulation 14002002 BER and this now means that you can book your next Nissan car service online and save up to 50 on what you might pay at your local Nissan dealer.

Before the law changed it was difficult to have new cars within their warranty period serviced outside a franchised dealer. If you wanted to shop around for the best prices on Nissan servicing your hands were tied.

The change in the law now gives every car owner the freedom to service their car away from the main dealers and still have their warranty protected.

Thousands of Nissan car owners have now taken advantage of their new right and reduced their Nissan serving costs whilst benefiting from the convenience of booking with national car service providers such as Service A Car.

Service A Car is a leading online car servicing network that prides itself on the quality of its Nissan servicing their customer service and transparent pricing. Because the company is not tied to any particular car manufacturer they are able to service any make of vehicle and compete freely in the market on a likeforlike.

Every vehicle is rigorously serviced according to the manufacturers servicing schedule using genuine recommended parts fitted by qualified technicians. This means that every Nissan car service fulfils the warranty criteria and there is no compromise on the servicing standards of a main dealer.

Companies like Service A Car who fulfil the warranty criteria when servicing your Nissan are able to maintain your service book just as main dealer can thereby protecting your warranty and helping you to maximise the resale value of your Nissan car.

Of course booking direct with a national car servicing network has its own advantages:
You no longer have to do all the running around. Service A Car collects your Nissan in the morning and delivers it back that afternoon free of charge
You pay a fixed Nissan service price which can be up to 50 below the price at the Nissan servicing desk of your local dealer
No additional work is carried out without your agreement which means no nasty surprises when it comes to paying the bill
Trained Customer Advisers are on hand throughout the day to keep you informed of progress and report back on problems you asked to be investigated as part of your Nissan service e.g. knocks and rattles
Your Nissan service includes a free wash and vacuum clean
You simply pay with your credit or debit card and your car is delivered back to your home or work address.

Our advice for saving money on Nissan car servicing is to contact a national car servicing network who is not tied to any one particular car manufacturer like Service A Car.

So before you book your next Nissan service why not ask your local dealer to tell you the cost of the service plus parts oil and any extras and then compare it with a fixed price quote from a national servicing network like Service A Car?

Happy motoring
Howard.

Nissan 2009 Gt-R Review

Many of us desire a prestigious vehicle that is comfy and can be utilized everyday. Nissan has figured out this problem with the production of the 2009 GTR. Nissan preferred to leave the specific design that sets it apart from other supercars on the road but made it an engine that would make it renowned. The price for the whole package is around 80000.

The 2009 Nissan GTR still has a very competitive edge to it thanks to the dark grille and distinct headlights and fenders that it is reinforced with. Very few cosmetic alterations have been made to this model. The whole of the body has been made with a unibody monocoque from steel. The front part is constructed with carbon fiber to make it lightweight compared to its other versions.

Nissan also developed a carbon fiber driveshaft that is made from the back of the engine to the transaxle. This transaxle has a dual clutch six speed gearbox. The computer built into it will have the ability to adjust the front to the rear torque split. After which the power from the front wheels will run to a small carbon fiber driveshaft above before moving on to the right primary driveshaft.

The automaker has permitted the transmission to operate in the fully automatic mode. However most individuals feel that it works best when utilising the shift paddles that have been mounted to the steering wheel.

When plans of the GTR leaked out it was typical for many of us to assume that it would be powered by the twin turbocharged version of the VQSeries V6 that Nissan is known for using. However this time they chose to use a brand new VR38 engine which is similar to the VQ. Each of the twin turbo intercooler VR38 V6 are assembled by hand before installation.

The quantity of power forced out of this engine is 473 horsepower and 6400 rpm. This allows it to rev from 0 to 62 mph in 3.5 seconds with a top speed of 193 mph. It came as no surprise to us that the 2009 Nissan GTR became famous for running a quarter mile in only 11.7 seconds.

This put its power output and speed neck in neck with that of the Porsche 911 Turbo. Porsche could feel the heat and the rivalry and felt that Nissan was being untruthful with these lap times. So they challenged them and told them to perform it again. But this did not alter their numbers in the slightest. The Nissan GTR is truly a great supercar!

Most Drivers Cannot Do Without A Car Air Conditioner

For decades now it has been said that Americans have a true love affair with cars and for most people these days that love extends to the many accessories that used to be considered luxuries but which are often standard nowadays. One such accessory is the car air conditioner and a growing number of people consider a car useless without “air.” If they live in the warm southern states or in an area that heats up considerably in the summertime then that is understandable.

But when the car air conditioning system goes on the fritz people can lose their cool in more ways than one. More than a few cases of road rage over the years have been attributed to people who completely lost their cool because they were stuck in sweltering heat on a gridlocked freeway.

Either the car didn’t have air conditioning or the auto air conditioning unit had broken down. The combination of a flaring temper frustration and a “too hot to sit in car” has caused more than one person to fly off the handle and do something that was later regretted.

A great way to keep the car air conditioner running in topnotch condition is to have routine maintenance performed on it annually. In the springtime before the heat of the summer weather sets in is the best time to have such auto air conditioning maintenance done. However people who live in the warmer climates where they use the “air” almost all yearround it is best to do the maintenance service in the spring and fall.

Most auto repair companies offer a air conditioner inspection service. This air conditioning service will provide a complete inspection of the air conditioner system in your car and will diagnose any problems and often includes basic repairs as well. If the inspection reveals additional problems with the air conditioning system then you will be provided with an estimated cost to carry out the needed air conditioner repair that needs to be done to keep your system running worryfree.

In many cases the air conditioner in your car simply needs to have the refrigerant recharged and this is usually covered as part of the maintenance checkup service. However if there is a leak in the system and your auto air conditioning is completely drained of Freon the refrigerant then you are looking at a larger problem.

First the leak in your automobile’s air conditioner system must be identified and repaired to stop additional refrigerant from being leaked into the atmosphere which can be hazardous both to people and also harmful to the environment. The Freon can be quite expensive to completely replace so it is best to find and repair the leak before fully loading the auto air conditioning system with refrigerant again.

Another area that must be carefully monitored and maintained on automotive air conditioner units are the various belts which keep the unit functioning properly. Many times the same belts that drive the heating and air conditioning unit in a vehicle also drive a number of other components. When one of these important belts break or even has become loose through excessive wear there can be many other problems that can cause bigger problems than just discomfort.

Because of the fact that the car air conditioner is a system that is integrated with the other systems in an automobile it is even more imperative to make the routine maintenance on it a priority. Proper maintenance will not only help to make sure that you are always comfortable and cool while driving but will help to keep bigger service issues from developing.
